Together you and the other delegates will participate in exciting sessions and activities that focus on communication skills, vision, decision-making, team building, cooperation and trust as you learn from one another. This unique leadership development weekend is engaging, challenging and FUN! The format for the weekend is highly focused yet it does provide important free time to visit with the other delegates.
Rain or shine, much of your time will be spent outdoors so please pack accordingly.
Casual attire, jeans and sneakers, are recommended for the entire weekend.
Proof of Covid Vaccination is mandatory.
Transportation to the conference is provided by your sponsoring Rotary Club.
Delegates are not permitted to drive to the event.
Prior to RYLA, a Rotarian from your sponsoring club may contact you with an invitation to join them at Rotary club meetings. We encourage you to attend a meeting so you will become acquainted with the mission, goals, and work of Rotary International. You will also meet the men and women who are providing you this special opportunity.
We will contact you at the end of February with additional details that will help you arrive at RYLA ready to participate. Delegates are expected to attend all sessions of the conference. We sincerely hope you will be able to join us, but if you are involved in activities, (sports play-offs, educational opportunities, SAT testing, spring break, proms etc.), which will prevent you from attending the entire conference, please contact me with your resignation now so that we can offer this scholarship to someone else.
We look forward to seeing you at the conference. Dave Stuckey RYLA District Chair 919-967-7335 [email protected]
